Thursday, January 12, 2012, the Chorale started rehearsals for the second half of the 2011-2012 season. We take this time to invite you to come and see how much fun and enjoyment this group of talented people are when we get together and learn to sing under the direction of our director, Dr. Helena Vasconcellos, "Dr. V" See a few paragraphs below for the address in Blue Springs where we meet every Thursday evening at 7 pm until 9 pm. Please come and join us as we all learn to make wonderful music together. We would love to see new faces and new voices to join us for the second half of this season. Hope to see you all there. We will get together again on Thursday evenings, at 7 p.m. shortly after the first of the new year, at the Mission Woods Community of Christ Church at Duncan Rd and Saunders in Blue Springs. We invite and encourage everyone to come out and try out for our wonderful group of singers. If you have sung with the Chorale before, please come back and join us once again for another wonderful season. If you haven't sung with this group, come and visit with us on our opening night rehearsal and get a feel of how a choir has lots of fun and learns how to sing as a group. JACOMO Chorale Mission Statement  

Making music can be a joy to those sharing in the gift, both as listeners and as singers.  By combining our efforts, we can keep alive the great compositions of the past and also introduce new literature to our audiences.  Music speaks to the soul and is an uplifting, international language to all.  Keeping this particular fine art in the fore-front appears unimportant in our educational future.  The chorale strives for musical excellence, and a pure enjoyment in delighting our audiences with a wide variety throughout each season.

We are so proud to have Dr. Helena Vasconcellos as our musical director. We offer an invitation to our supporters of the fine arts and the public here in Jackson County, Missouri to come and watch this woman takes the Chorale  and produces a wonderful and beautiful evening of entertainment. The Jacomo Chorale is a community chorus with one purpose: to provide an enjoyable outlet for choral musicians in eastern Jackson County.  The Chorale presents major concert repertories each season including a wide variety of literature.
